Louise Ritchie is an award-winning artist/lecturer in Contemporary Art Practice at City of Glasgow College/UWS and holds a PhD from DJCAD/University of Dundee. Louise’s doctoral research culminated in a new reflexive nomenclature of practice-based research titled Automaking, which is a colour-coded naming of the experiences, outcomes and contexts of artmaking. Her practice is multidisciplinary, encompassing painting, sculpture and writing. Louise is a Past-President of the Society of Scottish Artists and has work in collections throughout the UK and abroad.
