Dominic holds a degree in Photography, Film and TV from Napier University and went on to study a Master's in Photography from Edinburgh College of Art. His early work was shaped by a passion for social and documentary photography, with a particular focus on capturing real-ife stories.
In his graduation year, Dominic was awarded a year-long commission by Yorkshire Arts, where he documented the lives and processes of local artists. This project culminated in an exhibition at The Impressions Gallery in York.
During this time, he collaborated with Wilson Wilson Company, a site-specific theatre group, on two major UK-based projects and also worked with Without Walls, leading him to Chengdu, China.
His career took him to Delhi, India, where he was commissioned by the TATA Group and Taj Hotels to document the lives of street dogs in Delhi and Mumbai. Dominic also captured the stories of tea workers in Kerala, with his work gaining recognition in The Guardian Weekend and The Financial Times.
Back in the UK, he was commissioned by Yorkshire Forward to create Provenance, a book and print exhibition celebrating independent food producers and farmers.
