Alan Kilpatrick (born in Assam, India) and studied at Central Saint Martin`s School of Art & Design in London
He was elected as a professional member of the SSA and works between studios in Edinburgh and St Monans in Fife

Kilpatrick's work addresses themes referencing the cultural influences of his childhood spent in India with his current home in Scotland.
He utilises a number of media, including henna, spices, marble dust and incense as well as ceramic, photography and film as he explores the influence of the artisan and themes of migration.
He has exhibited in the UK, France, Poland, Norway, Slovakia, India, and the USA where his work features in many private and public collections.
Kilpatrick continues to exhibit in numerous shows within the UK and internationally.

The Deloitte prize for his work Boundary (Fence) at the SSA Annual Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh.
Creative Scotland Award towards Resident Artist at Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata and Guest Lecturer at Assam University
